'Pens of Distinction' are the only quality pen and coaster manufacturer in the UK who are endorsed by the Forest Stewardship Council. This means all the timber used in these products are from a guaranteed sustainable, environmentally friendly source. The timber sources are independently audited on an annual basis to ensure that the strict guidelines are adhered to and only sustainable timber is used. The beech used for the commemorative coasters is sourced locally. Beech wood is considered a grade "A" hardwood, stronger than Oak or Maple in many characteristics.
Every pen and coaster produced by 'Pens of Distinction' is unique as no two pieces of timber are the same due to the colour and figure differences.
